Course Overview

To gain the full TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF) qualification (HLTA Qualification) Teaching assistant course you will need to pass all the assignments along with observations within the classroom setting. Upon completion of the course you will be able to work as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / Cover Supervisor in primary or secondary schools.

There are no formal examinations on this course and the work is assessment based. Full tutor support is also provided along with a personal tutor whom will guide you through lessons and online materials as well as answer any questions or queries you may have.

Upon completion you will be fully qualified as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, recognised by both Ofqual and Ofstead giving you plenty of opportunity.

Qualification

Designed for learners who are working in a job role in a specialist area and/or across a varied range of responsibilities under the direction of a teacher who has overall responsibility for teaching and learning in a classroom, for example: teaching assistants; classroom assistants; learning support assistants; additional needs assistants; pastoral/welfare support assistants; bilingual support assistants; foundation stage assistants; learning guides; learning coaches; or induction mentors.

Assessments

To pass this course learners must pass all set assignments. These are completed after navigating through the corresponding lessons and writing your answers to assignment questions. Once these have been read and marked by your personal tutor, feedback and marks are provided to students which contain helpful tips to improve work in future assignments.
